Cycle Sluts from Hell

Al googlend op onze eigen illustere pelotonnaam kom ik het volgende tegen: per heden wil ik alleen nog maar Queen Vixen genoemd worden naar een bandlid van onze naamgenoten; de New Yorkse heavy metal band Cyclesluts from Hell.
(Jan (vanaf nu genaamd Lord Roadkill), wist jij dit toen je onze naam bedacht??)

The Cycle Sluts From Hell were an American heavy metal band from the early 1990s. They were only together briefly but are remembered for their name.

The band comprised four women singing under the stage names Queen Vixen, She-Fire of Ice, Honey One Percenter and Venus Penis Crusher, backed by 4 amazing musicians who at times eclipsed the girls. The music was written by most of the band, who were never given proper credit. Such as Lord Road Kill (Pete Lisa), Tom Von Doom, Christopher Moffett (Dude), and others who were not in the band. The lyrics were written by the girls, and were incredibly funny, tounge-in-cheek, and filled with inuendo.

The band's self-titled debut album was their only release. The song "I Wish You Were a Beer" is their best known track, written by Honey 1%er and Tom Von Doom. The video clip for it got MTV airplay when released and still appears regularly around the world (e.g. Australia[1]). The track also featured in the MTV show Beavis and Butthead, who reacted favorably to it.[2] The band's biggest gig was a European tour with Motörhead in the early nineties.

1 opmerking:

  1. just like women expect the “illusion” of romance. we keep our relationships alive with these “illusions” instead of truly being worthy of one another. to be worthy of another person is to not treat people like toilets.
